Tube Furnaces with quenching

In advanced material development, cooling and quenching processes play a critical role in determining final material properties. Whether used for metal hardening, microstructure control, or thermal shock testing, precise quenching enables consistent and repeatable results across a wide range of applications.

Modern quench furnaces and rapid cooling systems allow materials to be processed under controlled atmospheres, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility in both research and industrial environments.

IQ-S (Sledge)

  • Designed for small and sensitive samples
  • Uses an automated mechanism to move the sample between heating and cooling zones
  • Maintains a controlled atmosphere (Vacuum, inert gas or reactive gas) throughout
  • Key benefit: fast, repeatable, and highly controlled quenching in one compact unit

IQ-L (Liquid)

  • Sample is  heated in a vertical furnace  and then  dropped manually into a quench medium
  • Supports different media:  water, oil, or gas
  • Offers  flexibility and simple operation
  • Key benefit:  cost-effective and adaptable system with controlled atmosphere

IQ-M (Move)

  • The sample stays stationary, and the furnace moves instead
  • Enables quenching without physically disturbing the sample
  • Can operate under high vacuum conditions
  • Key benefit: ideal for delicate or high-precision applications

IQ-O (Open)

  • Based on a quartz tube with heating and cooling zones
  • Sample is manually moved between zones
  • Allows multiple heating/quenching cycles without removing the sample
  • Key benefit: simple, flexible setup for fast experiments
