The head office & manufacturing plant are located in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, UK. Carbolite has daughter companies located in Ubstadt-Weiher in Germany and Watertown, Wisconsin in the USA. In other regions, sales are through Verder Scientific or independent distributors.

The extensive portfolio offered by Carbolite includes both elite laboratory chamber/box furnaces & laboratory tube furnaces to 1800°C. Tube furnaces are available as single or multi-zone, horizontal/vertical, split & rotating models. A wide variety of tube diameters & tube heated lengths is available. Chamber/box furnaces are available in many sizes and models include high temperature furnaces, ashing/calcining furnaces, furnaces for the analysis of coal & coke and precious metals evaluation furnaces (cupellation/fire assay).

In addition to the range of elite laboratory furnaces, ovens and incubators, Carbolite also offers an extensive range of pilot plant and industrial furnaces and industrial ovens for various heat treatment applications. Carbolite joins the Verder Scientific Division

Carbolite was acquired by the Dutch technology group, Verder, in 2012 as part of an expansion into the provision of products for high-temperature material testing and physicochemical analysis.

The Verder Group consists of two main business units - Liquids (positive displacement pumps) and Scientific (laboratory equipment). With more than 800 employees and subsidiaries in 19 countries the group generates an annual turnover of €160 million. The core of the Scientific Division, which was built on renowned companies such as Retsch (milling and sieving) and Retsch Technology (particle size analysis), has been extended by the acquisition of Carbolite, Eltra (elemental analysis) and Endecotts. Dr Jürgen Pankratz was appointed Director of the Verder Scientific Division.
