The IQ-S was specifically developed for the treatment of small and sensitive components. It combines uniform heating, a controlled process atmosphere and a rapid, automated quenching mechanism in one compact, user-friendly system.

An automated transfer system moves the sample precisely between the heating and cooling zones. This enables an extremely rapid transition from the process temperature to the quenching stage without removing the component and while continuously maintaining a controlled process atmosphere, such as inert gas or vacuum.
This significantly improves process reliability and component quality.
Possible sample-holder materials include:
