IQ-M (Move) Automated Furnace Movement Quench System

The IQ-M is a specialised quenching system in which the sample remains stationary throughout the entire process. Quenching is achieved by moving the furnace away from the sample, making this solution particularly suitable for sensitive or safety-critical applications.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

The sample remains in a fixed position inside the work tube throughout the entire process.

A key feature of the system is the ability to move the furnace away from the sample automatically at a user-defined point in time. This can take place immediately after heating, after a defined holding time at the maximum temperature, or after cooling to a specified target temperature.

As a result, the sample is rapidly transferred from the hot zone into a cooler environment. This enables very fast cooling, even under controlled conditions such as high vacuum.

The furnace is moved automatically by an electric drive integrated directly into the control system, ensuring precise positioning between the heating and quenching zones.
