Coal drying ovens (CDLT & CDHT)

• A range of two coal drying ovens suitable for use in carrying out the tests described in American and British Standards;
• Model CDLT is suitable for carrying out the tests described in BS1017 parts 1 and 2 and also ASTM D2013 and D3302;
• Model CDHT is suitable for carrying out the tests described in BS1016 parts 1 and 2 and also ASTM D2961;
• Air is circulated around the oven by two centrifugal fans; ducts and airguides ensure that the airflow is horizontal across the chamber, with air being directed over each shelf level;
• The chamber is fitted with 6 pairs of shelf runners on 90mm centres; twelve aluminium trays are supplied. The trays slide directly on the shelf runners. The oven accepts two shelves per level to give a total tray area of 4.32 square metres;
• Air inlet and outlet vents are provided so that the warm moist air may be ventilated to atmosphere and replenished with fresh air; the incoming fresh air is preheated before it enters the work chamber;
• Mineral insulated metal sheathed elements give a long and reliable service life;
• A single side hinged door at the front with lever clamp door handle and silicone rubber door seals provides access to the chamber.
