Clean room ovens

How stable is the temperature in a Carbolite clean room oven? What is the difference to the term variation?

Temperature stability is how much the temperature at any one point in the chamber varies up and down from the set point. Temperature stability and temperature fluctuation are the same thing. The Carbolite clean room ovens all have a temperature stability of better than +/- 1°C.

Temperature variation (also called temperature uniformity) is how much the temperature throughout the chamber varies under steady state conditions. It is confirmed at the design stage and measured using 9 thermocouples, one at each corner and one in the middle of the chamber. For the standard clean room ovens the temperature variation is better than +/- 5°C over the full working temperature range. (The thermocouples used in this checking process are placed so that they are 50mm away from any of the walls of the chamber and 100mm away from the door.)

The Carbolite clean room oven range is suitable for installation in a Class 100 clean room.
