Experience of mechanical and electrical engineering is necessary and we would anticipate minimum qualification in an appropriate subject to degree level.

The position requires customer liaison, quotations and project management.

It is likely that individuals will have several years’ experience in a related industry to be successful in their application.

Draughtsperson

A Vacancy exists for the above position. Applicants are sought to work within a small team of committed and multi-disciplined engineers responsible for the design development and support of special products, all of which have to conform to European directives and appropriate harmonised standards.

The vacancy will particularly suit individuals who enjoy varied and challenging work. He/She will have a systematic approach to problem solving and be capable of working both in a team and without excessive supervision. The ability to use initiative is essential.
Experience of mechanical engineering is necessary and we would anticipate minimum qualification in an appropriate subject would be to HNC level. The applicant must have the ability to create 2D & 3D engineering drawings using Solid Edge software.

Furnace or oven design experience would be an advantage though not essential.

Engineering Technician

Engineering Technician – Engineering Department


Applicants are sought to work within a team of committed and multi-disciplined engineers responsible for the design development and support of standard laboratory products, all of which have to conform to European directives and appropriate harmonised standards. Compliance to these standards has to be proven by practical mechanical and electrical testing which would be one of the main responsibilities of this role.

Other work would include the checking of operator manuals, creation of maintenance/service manuals, and assistance to the engineers to create and test prototype ideas. Training will be provided where necessary.

The vacancy will particularly suit individuals who have practical mechanical/electrical skills, have worked in a workshop environment, understand and have an analytical approach to their work. Data logging and report creation will be PC based so general computer literacy is essential.

Salary circa £18,000 depending on experience.
